Something few companies do anymore. It’s like the spirit of Steve Jobs was found hiding at Zoom. The new version, however, reflects genius in creating simplicity for us analog minds who just want to record audio. The first generation of this product was OK and sold well to videographers. Zoom, long-time maker of high quality, low cost audio recorders and other pro audio products, introduced a new generation of its lowest priced audio recorder, the H1n. Last week, a breath of fresh air came blowing in from a surprising place. Sadly, Steve Jobs is gone and Apple is back to its old pre-Jobs ways, as is most everyone else today. From the first time I used a Mac, I realized that Steve Job’s genius was simplifying all that gobbledygook for the rest of us. Note-3: This advice also holds, if you want to change where your program is installed on your computer, by moving it to a different folder.Since moving from an old CPM-based computer using cryptic Wordstar word processing in the mid-80s to the first 128K Macintosh, I have been very aware of this needless complexity created by uncreative engineers. Note-2: The annual Licence allows you to install the software on to 2 or more computers in school and/or at home, providing that they are only for the purposes of your school or college. (ii) On the new machine use FileMenu->Restore to load the data from the 'memory-stick' into the program on the new machine. (i) On the 'old' machine use FileMenu->Backup to put the data on to a 'memory-stick', and then (d) Then transfer your data to the new machine by: (c) Take the 'memorystick' to the new machine and double-click the file Setup.EXE to run it, and install the program on this new machine. (b) Copy this file from the download folder to a Flashdrive / USB 'memorystick'. This link allow you to download a file called Setup.EXE Method 2 (install a copy of the software on computer-2, then copy the data from computer-1 to computer2) (For Options it is at TTOpt.exe For StaffCover it is at SCW.exe ). (e) Add a shortcut on your desktop in the usual way. (d) Take the 'memory-stick' to your new computer and copy the folder to the corresponding place on the new machine. This folder includes both the program and your data. (c) Then copy the entire folder to a FlashDrive / USB 'memory-stick' or a similar device. (For Options it is at C:\OPTwin For StaffCover it is at C:\Cover ). if you chose the default destination folder while installing, it will be at C:\TT4Win for TimeTabler. (b) Then find the location of the program folder. If the program says you already have the latest version, click 'Update me anyway' (to be sure). This link allows you to download a file and then run it to install the very latest version. (a) On the 'old' machine, first ensure that you have the very latest version of the program by clicking on >Check for Updates. Method 1 (manually copy the whole installation from computer-1 to computer-2) If you purchase a new computer and want to install TimeTabler or Options or StaffCover on it, together with any data that you have entered, there are 2 ways to do this (you can choose the more convenient): Moving the program and data to a new machine
